‘It takes a whole community to help raise a child’- Pregnant Duchess Kate Middleton Appreciates School Leaders

Expectant mum of three Kate Middleton has admitted she is “getting used” to leaving her son Prince George at school.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 35, who is expecting her third child in April, missed George’s first day in school in September because she was suffering from severe morning sickness in the first stages of her pregnancy, People reports.

Speaking at the opening of the annual School Leaders Forum run by one of the charity Place2Be in London, the Duchess who looked simply radiant in a plum colored dress by Goat accessorized with a poppy brooch, touched on the difficulties many mothers face as she spoke in front of an audience of headteachers, academics, and mental health professionals.

”As a mother just getting used to leaving my own child at the school gates, it is clear to me that it takes a whole community to help raise a child.

Whether we are school leaders, teachers, support staff or parents – we’re all in this together. We are all working to give children the emotional strength they need to face their futures and thrive,” she said.

In September, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced their third pregnancy (read here). Their royal baby is set to arrive in April 2018.

The Duchess is battling acute morning sickness, also known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

A Kensington Palace spokeswoman had said that the Duchess is “better but she’s still suffering.”

The newborn will join the royal couple’s older children — 4-year-old son Prince George and 2-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
