Is This a True Test of Friendship? Celebrity Mom, Damilola Adegbite Reveals How She Tests Her Friends

Actress and single mum of one, Damilola Adegbite has revealed how she tests her friends, to know whose friendship is real or not.

According to the Nollywood star whose 2-year-old marriage to Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh crashed last year with the latter confirming their separation in an interview (read here), she pretends to be in need of money or any other thing and waits for their responses.

Taking to her Instagram page, Damilola, who indirectly hinted that she broke up with her ex husband due to betrayal of trust, wrote;

”Sometimes I do this little thing, I ask certain people in my life for some help, monetary or otherwise. Just to see how eager they will be to assist.

We all need to be sure who to call in times of need, those who genuinely care for us, and lately, I’d rather not wait till the last minute. The older one gets, the more important it is to know who your TRUE friends are.

So if I ever, randomly, I mean from nowhere asked you for help, and you thought, “Hmmm, that’s really strange coming from Dami”, maybe, just maybe…it was a test ????”

Damilola and Attoh got married in Ghana on the 14th of February 2015 and have a son together.

While some of her followers agree with her technique of identifying true friends, others are of the opinion that it’s not a true test of friendship.

mordsith87: ”Not a true test of friendship. Whatever made you broke and needy at that moment could make your friends broke and needy too. The fact that they don’t come to you in need doesn’t mean they not needy.

Testing anyone is quiet wrong cos you never know when you’d be tested too and failing that test doesn’t make you a bad person. Just pray for good people around you cos we all have bad tendencies sometimes which doesn’t actually define us… Nice day.”
