What Crashed Marriage? Dr Sid and Wife, Simi Announce They’re Expecting Baby Number 2 Together
Despite being plagued with rumours of a marriage split late last year (read here), it appears Nigerian singer, Sidney Esiri, a.k.a Dr Sid and his wife, Simi are waxing stronger in love.
The Mavin act, who is also the son of Late veteran actor, Justice Esiri is soon to be a father of baby number two.
The couple were proud to share the exciting news on social yesterday. In a video shared on their respective Instagram pages, the couple’s first child, Sidney is seen touching her mother’s protruding tummy while also revealing that a baby was inside.

The news is coming several months after the couple were dogged by divorce rumours. According to sources;
“They’ve been having issues for a very long time. It got so bad that Simi has had to move out of her matrimonial home and separated from her husband a couple of times.
Many close friends cited infidelity on Dr Sid’s part. But many are of the opinion that Simi, who comes from a wealthy background could no longer cope with her estranged husband’s philandering ways and moreover, because he could not maintain her status of being a silverspoon kid.

However, the union didn’t have a good start because the couple almost called off the wedding two days before it held three years ago.
The “Surulere’ crooner revealed in an interview that they quarreled two days to their wedding. Talking about marriage, he said,
“It can be beautiful if you work towards it. I remember us quarrelling two days before our wedding and even threatening to pull out. But, our love for each other has kept us going.
Right now, our marriage is on autopilot and we are just cruising because we understand each other absolutely.”
The report also says both Simi and Dr Sid unfollowed each other on Instagram. Simi also wasn’t wearing her wedding ring anymore and she deleted all their wedding photos.
It appears all is now well in their marriage.
