Despite Marital and Medical Challenges, Mom-Of-2, Georgina Onuoha Earns Another Milestone

Gone are the days when women are relegated to the four walls of their kitchen. Now a days, women are soaring all over- in every facet of life. There are female presidents, female prime ministers, female professors… name it, the female folks are all around the world doing marvelously well.

Today, we celebrate an achiever who has risen above the limitations life thrust at her and has yet, added another feather to her cap.

Beautiful single mom-of-2 and Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha celebrates a milestone in her academic career.

Georgina recently bagged another Master’s Degree in Health Sciences from a university in the US.

Taking to her Instagram page to celebrate, Georgina wrote on how she battled ill health including undergoing several surgeries while studying for her degree.

When you hear that lonely voice telling you; you can’t play a drum, dig in and play that drum as if your life depended on it. This didn’t come easy for me. All odds were against me. Health was weak, less than 4 hours of sleep ???? each night for 2 years.

Work as a health consultant was brutal because it required daily reading and data analysis and processing. In between I have to be a mom ( yes single parent) and as well manage my businesses. There were nights I considered quitting because the stress was enormous but my daughters kept telling me , mummy you can do it.

There were days and nights I cried for comfort because my health was failing me. Multiple trips to ER for blood transfusions, low hemoglobin of 2.1 due severe hemorrhage caused by fibroids. I was in the fight for my life. I saw me disappearing. Many thought I was looking for shape or dieting.. NO!! I was barely hanging onto life. I became a shadow of myself.

I weighed less than required for my height. I contemplated leaving school and career because of poor health but my kids kept me going. Eventually had a major surgery (hysteroscopic myomectomy).

I was mocked by friendenemis for my weight loss, My grades suffered but I had the best lecturers who wondered why and kept pushing me to get back my good grades.

With time I became stronger. Things started falling into place post surgery. I am thankful today for life and the grace given me. Not only did I graduate with Masters of Health Sciences, I came out with a flying GPA. Thank you lord for turning my pain to gain, tears into joy and despair into hope.

I am eternally grateful to all who helped me through this journey and believed in me, my vision and aspirations. May heaven reward you all. Massive thanks to my family, friends and Fans. I love and appreciate you all .

I love you endlessly Chigozie and Chimezie. I want you to know that everything I do, I do it for you. May you both surpass everything I’ve achieved in my short life. Let this day be a reminder that you can always be whatever or whomever you want to be in life.

You both will forever thrive regardless of what life throws at you. You do not need anyone’s validation to excel and succeed in life. Always trust in God as he is the only guide you need. He will cause strangers to bless you always. I love you kidos ❤❤????????????????????????
