How A Nigerian Doctor Went The Extra Mile To Cater For A Set Of Twins After Their Mom Died 4 Days After Birth

A Nigerian doctor who is being owed for months, has attracted kind comments online after he reportedly went out of his comfort zone to take care of a set of twins whose mother died four days after their birth.

According to a Twitter user, Dr Chioma @Deekachy_Md who shared the heartwarming story, the babies who were left with their poor grandmother after their mom’s death, became malnourished (marasmus) because there was no money for their drugs or to buy their food.

It was gathered that the Dr. Ibe Chidiebere took pity on the innocent babies and handed their helpless grandmother a ‘fat envelope’ which he got after he reached out to some of his friends.

Dr Chioma concluded the tweets by saying ‘No matter how bad your situation, you are better than someone else’

Read tweets about the emotional moment below:

”I just witnessed the most amazing thing this morning. So these twins in our ward lost mum at 4 days old. Left to grandma, who had little. Became severely malnourished (Google Marasmus). No money for drugs or food still. This morning, my colleague despite being owed for months.

He handed them a fat envelope. He had reached out to friends for money to help them, unknown to the family. They responded in a BIG way. Grandma and the ward of patients were driven to tears of gratitude, I inclusive. In their eyes, I saw Hope return, as they blessed us

He owed them nothing, had the right if he wanted to ignore them and just be their Doctor, do his part and maybe document that patients were yet to purchase drugs due to financial incapabilities, Yet…, he went the extra mile. He is not the only Angel out there, I have met some.
