Internship: Kunle Afolayan Sends 8-Year-Old to the Least Expected Place to Spend Summer Holidays. Do You Think He Made A Wise Decision?
Have you ever heard of the phrase, “Catch them Young?” It seems someone has chosen to literally apply that phrase in raising his children. While most parents are sending their children abroad for the summer holiday, Ace filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has enrolled his son, Darimisire Afolayan at a local mechanic workshop to learn the art of mechanical engineering.
The actor and producer who left many of his colleagues and fans speechless, believes that his 8-year-old son can gain more at an early stage than just academics.
Not many parents will key into this idea but the dad-of-4 who recently acquired a vintage 1966 ford car, has the money to give to his son but thinks it is better to teach him how to fish than giving him fish.
Sharing a video of the young lad at the workshop on his Instagram page, the thespian wrote:
”Keep them busy so they can be useful to themselves and the society at large. Darimisire doing holiday internship as an automobile mechanic. Loro kan, o nko’se mokalik #mechanic #internship.”
Many of his colleagues have hailed him for being a brilliant dad even though, they never thought of the idea themselves; many of them believe it is the right step in the right direction.
