Just when pupils and students across Nigeria resumed for a new school session, the married dad of a cute little girl took to his Instagram page to drop an interesting piece on how parents are struggling through life to pay exorbitant school fees for their kids.
According to the celebrity fashion entrepreneur, parents in Nigeria now brag about exorbitant fees they pay for their wards. He added that some parents have had to relocate outside Nigeria because of the constant rise in school fees.
Writing further, he asked the concerned parents; “where is all these pressure leading us to ? At this rate, do you even plan to stay alive and see these children finish this schools?”

”In the last 2months 4 young Families and Friends I know have relocated with their kids from Nigeria to Canada| UK | and the US.
One common reason they all gave was the constant rise in school fees . One even told me that “ Uche , my children now attend a CATHOLIC school that is going to be 70yrs old this December and guess what THE SCHOOL IS FREE, I don’t have to pay anything since we migrated legally and to think the school is far better than the school my children were attending in Lekki where I was working to just pay school fees.
So the other day , a client told me that he cannot afford to pay #150k for a Tuxudo. Curious I asked WHY , he said that he was paying a little over #7m as school fees for 3 of his kids schooling in Nigeria.????????????.
Honestly this trend is getting me worried for MEN as I wonder , who is putting MEN under this much pressure to now see HIGH school fees as a bragging right? Where is all these pressure leading us to? At this rate, Do you even plan to stay alive and see these children finish this schools?.
Nigerians, Instead of us to take a stand, Speak Up and REVIVE the missionary schools that most of you attended and turned out successful people today, We are busy bragging about paying #2M FOR ACCEPTANCE FEE FORM for certain PRIMARY SCHOOL on the island.
Men & Women who ought to speak up have all looked the other way while Schools like KC, QC and Igbobi colleges which they attended is no longer befitting for their children to attend.
Can we just PAUSE for a minute and retrace our footsteps ???.

Paying school fees may not really be a very pleasant experience, especially when you have to pay for more than one child. And this is surely the period where most parents tend to run up and down seeking for money to ensure that their wards stay in school and are not embarrassed amidst their friends.
On Tuesday, popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, revealed that he suddenly took ill after he paid his children’s school fees.
The singer took to his Instagram page to make a rather hilarious post, explaining that he has ‘fallen sick’ after parting with the huge payment for the school fees of his 3 children who are in primary school and he wanted to know if anyone else was going through same.
Dakolo shared this photo of himself in a sombre mood and captioned it:
”I AM NOT FEELING TOO GOOD..I AM FEELING SOMEHOW, I AM EVEN RUNNING TEMPERATURE SEF.
DEAR PARENTS, PLEASE I NEED ENCOURAGEMENT, IS IT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU PAY SCHOOL FEES? OR IS IT JUST ME?I THINK ITS BECAUSE ITS FIRST TERM AND THEY ARE NOW ALL IN PRIMARY SCHOOL.
SHOULD I RUSH TO THE HOSPITAL? THE RHYTHM OF MY HEART BEAT IS GOING FROM HARD ROCK TO HOUSE MUSIC.#SCHOOLFEESISNOTYOURMATE.”
