The business of marriage is becoming a very risky venture to even contemplate, let alone be involved in, with all the stories of strife and affliction that daily bedevil the otherwise coveted institution.

Yesterday, on Twitter, Hassan, by sharing a simple tweet of his personal experience, using humility, tolerance and compromise to keep his marriage afloat, he earned the admiration of women, but particularly men over his strength of character.

It appears that the real admiration towards Hassan’s tweet was that the all-too-familiar male ego did not come to play as he narrated his approach to solving a serious argument he had with his wife.

Hassan tweeted:

“One day, I had a very serious argument with my wife. She was so pissed she said it’s over sef. I beg tire.

I wanted to stop her from going to work until we resolve our differences but she no gree hear. After she left for work, I packed all her dirty

Clothes and underwears, washed all. That day, I had to cancel an important business meeting. When she got back from work, she was speechless.

Apologies for saying all she said in the morning, then gave me my favourite food. Few weeks to that day was her bday”

In his concluding tweet, Hassan served more wisdom, saying;

“we earn someone’s love and lose it by our actions.”

Thus instructing that couples must continue to work to earn the continued loyalty and love of their partner.

“I called all her secondary paddies, my friends and even her siblings, cousins she grew up with and parent.

I did a surprised birthday party for her.

It was a buffet. She was speechless too on that fateful day.

WE EARN SOMEONE’s LOVE & LOSE IT BY OUR ACTIONS.”

Before long,  as if he were a sage, Twitter users gathered about his handle asking to be thought more wisdom regarding marriage and respect .

This morning, Hassan has shared more tweets and personal experiences on his timeline with his attentive audience.

But even in a classroom, not every pupil, understands the lesson from when it starts; some take longer than others, and Twitter user @tosinnimo in this case, appeared to be catching up late on the lessons.

Like nose in the middle of a face , his tweet stood apart from the numerous other responses who valued and saw the wisdom of the initial tweets, @tosinnimo wrote;

“@olahassan iz ur wife the breadwinner or u av a secret with her?

I dislike when ladies or wives use the word ‘it’s over’ during any argument or misunderstanding.

Has the situation become that bad or irredeemable or are they threatening the guy? Àbí dem get Plan B”

Hopefully, everyone catches up on the lessons soon enough for the good of family and society, and goodluck to Hassan, if he decides to teach his principles of sustaining love in marriages even beyond Twitter.
