Helen Paul Backs Teenage Actress, Regina Daniels, Over Controversial Marriage Choice
Reactions have continued to trail the speculated marriage of Nollywood teenage actress, Regina Daniels, to 59-year-old billionaire and politician, Ned Nwoko. Rumour mills went wild some weeks back with reports of a secret marriage between the young actress and the politician who before now maintained a low profile.
It started with the young Regina flaunting an expensive lifestyle on social media, and showing off expensive cars she supposedly got for herself and mother, including new houses and watches. It took a while and people began to dig into what the source of her expensive lifestyle could be since acting in Nollywood would not afford her anything close in range to what she was spending.

A few weeks ago, the name of the 59-year-old politician, Ned Nwoko, came up as the financier of the teenage girl’s lifestyle. Shortly afterwards, it was alleged that the duo had tied the knots secretly and Regina’s single mum had got a house as part of the marriage deal.
While many people allowed their tongues to wag and called the union between the two, a union of two strange bedfellows, the teenage actress has ignored to confirm or deny any of the speculations.
The story got even more sensational when news filtered in that Ned is already married to 5 other women and his marriage to Regina placed her in the position of wife no six. Through a spokesperson, the politician had released a statement saying he is a Muslim and is entitled to multiple wives, but even the Islamic faith does not allow any man to take more than four wives.

Whether Regina releases a full statement confirming the story or not, she let the cat out of the bag when she commented on a picture of her and her presumed hubby. Over the weekend, the couple stepped out together for the politician’s doctorate degree award and pictures of the couple from the outing flooded the internet.
The actress though young has had the wisdom to not engage trolls but identifies with those who support her decision to marry the elderly man who reportedly has 15 children already.
When Nigeria’s self-acclaimed highest paid sex therapist, Jaruma, shared a photo of the couple holding hands, she captioned it:
Shine BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND my darling
Hold ur hubby’s hand well well
May God in HIS INFINITE Mercy BLESS ur union
Jaruma is known to support and encourage women and celebrities to prioritise when choosing men and is a big advocate for marrying billionaires. When she made that post, Regina’s reply came right after, confirming for the first time ever that she is indeed married to the politician.
The young lay replied to Jaruma saying:
I LOVE YOU in capital letters

Many reactions have trailed the controversial union but now actress Helen Paul has taken a stand on the marriage and she has backed the decision of the teenage actress to marry whomever she pleases.
The mum-of-three who defended Regina, wondered why we are quick to judge women even though there are people who get married at an older age and their husbands are using them as punching bag.
She wrote:
Hypocracy of the highest order, ladies are used to killing and condemning each other.
Do you know what she has gone through?
Do you know what pushed her and her family to go into such a marriage?
There are people who get married at an older age and their husbands are using them as punching bag.
Why are we quick to judge women? The woman did this, the woman did that, What about the men?
Please let us leave issues that are sorted and focus on matters that truly need attention.
