“We are impeccable”- Rihanna Cheers Black Women On With Inspiring Speech (Video)

Barbadian singer and fashion mogul, Robyn Rihanna Fenty aka Rihanna hosted her 5th annual Diamond Ball last night and she had an inspiring message to share about black women. The 31-year-old throws the annual gala in support of the Clara Lionel Foundation, which she founded in honor of her grandparents, Clara, and Lionel Braithwaite.

The organization which obviously is close to her heart supports and funds global education, health, and emergency response programs and also engages in advocacy to improve the quality of life of children around the world.

The multitalented businesswoman was the last to arrive on the red carpet at 9:22 p.m, donning a black velvet gown. But before she was whisked away from the red carpet, she had a message for fellow black women.

Here’s what she had to say:

“I’m a black woman, I came from a black woman who came from a black woman and I’m gonna give birth to a black woman, so it’s a no-brainer.

That’s who I am, it’s the core of who I am, in spirit and in DNA. And I’ll always stand up for who I believe in, who I love, who I know and who I respect.

My mother has raised me to be an incredible woman.

I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be.

We are impeccable, we’re special and the world is going to have to deal with that.”
