I have a lot of fears. I’m scared to fly, I’m scared of public speaking, I’m scared of heights… the list goes on and on.
It’s never been about being “fearless” for me. It’s about COURAGE. Courage is the ability to look fear in the face and decide to do it anyway.
It’s a choice. It’s an action. It’s a refusal to back down just because you might fail, or because you are scared.
Many people ask me when I started @Spanx, was I scared? Are you kidding? I was terrified. But what was scarier to me was keeping my life the way it was selling fax machines door to door.See Also
I’m afraid of things on a daily basis… both in business and my personal life. But I don’t let those fears define me and neither should you.
If I had let fear be my deciding factor in starting @spanx… it wouldn’t exist. So when an opportunity or an idea comes knocking and you feel scared? Fine, be scared… But do it anyway.
