Fair Bargain? Actress, Toni Tones Shares Why She Declined To See A Love Interest After Their Very First Date
Nollywood diva and actress, Gbemi Anthonia Adefuye popularly known as Toni Tones made an indelible mark in Nollywood with her critically acclaimed performance in box-office smash, ‘King of Boys’, and now she has given a hint about her love life in a Twitter post and the question is did she make a fair bargain? The 33-year-old shared in the mentioned Twitter post why she declined to see a particular love interest beyond their first date.
Tones shared that the man, had on their first date suggested that she would need to give up her career and travel about with him on his many business trips because, according to him, he would need his ‘babe’ to be by him at all times.
The multi-talented creative said she was clearly unimpressed, even after the man had proposed setting up a business for her. According to her, she was not over the moon about the idea and she was therefore not interested in a follow-up date.
She tweeted:
“I once met someone who on our first date, said to me “I hope you’re willing to give up this your career and i’ll set up a business for you.
I travel a lot and I need my babe to be with me all the time. This one that you’re always very busy” That was also our last date.
He basically wanted me to give up my my lifelong dream and career that I’ve spent years building with sweat and tears, so we could be ‘hanging out’. He didn’t understand why I wasn’t over the moon at the idea.”
