Nigerian Mum, Amaka Akinkugbe, Whose CS Stitches Didn’t Heal For 8 Months Shares Why

A young Nigerian mum whose stitches didn’t heal 8 months after childbirth has disclosed what the problem was. The woman, Amaka Akinkugbe via her Twitter handle shared that for 8 months, she was dressing her Caesarean Section wounds but it refused to heal, and that her doctor downplayed her concerns, and kept telling her that it will heal eventually.

Amaka shared that she was eventually referred to another doctor who then informed her that strange material was undoubtedly in the site of her operation from months earlier.

She revealed that a surgery was scheduled and something that looks like a wire was found in her body. She was sharing her experience in response to a Twitter user who expressed concern over her sister’s continued pain at the site of  C-Section 10 months post-operation.

Good morning Sorry to disturb you. My sister delivered through CS for almost 10 months but her wound hasn’t healed up till now, visited hospital doctors told her it will eventually heal. Please I need your advice on what steps to take. Thank you.
