‘I Should Have Treated My Dad Better’ – Omoni Oboli Gets Teary As She Talks About Her Biggest Regret 

Nollywood producer, director and actress, Omoni Oboli, has triggered the emotions of thousands of her fans with her message to them.

The mother of boys and script writer expressed her regrets over how she had treated her father, Chief Matthew Eriyovwe Ukey when he was alive.

The script interpreter in a post on Instagram opened up about missing her dad while stating that she wishes she called and professed her love for him every day while he was alive.

According to the 44-year-old talented entertainer, she wished she could turn back the hands of time and treat her late father better.

The ‘Wives on Strike’ cast revealed that on her walk this morning, she broke down in tears because she misses her dad. She went on to blame herself for not checking up on him daily before his demise.

Omoni then advised all to always check up on their parents while we still have them around.

She wrote:

“On my walk this morning, I started crying because I miss my dad. I thought to myself, I could have called him everyday and told him I loved him everyday.

Show your parents all the love you can everyday cos one day, you would wish you could give it all up for just one more day!

I wish…just one more day! Give them all the love you can while you still have them.”

Omoni had earlier stated that her world “crumbled” after the death of her father. The actress lost her dad in 2017 after he was involved in a car crash.

Speaking with Chude Jideonwo, the movie star broke down in tears as she recounted the death of her father.

Omoni also recalled visiting the morgue and seeing the stone-dead body of her dad, who according to her used to be the life of the party. She said:

“… And months after that, my dad passed and it was like my world just literally crumbled. It crumbled. So I made arrangements to go, the next day I flew into Benin, drove there.  So, of course, I went to see him at the morgue and.

Have you ever seen a dead body?  You just know, you just know that they’re no more there. Because it’s so empty, it’s a shell.

I saw my dad, I saw my mom, and you just know that the person that you know and love is gone and that it’s just a shell. And then I looked at him. and said, ‘Mobility, how could you do this to me?’

My dad’s nickname is ‘Mobility’ because he’s the life of the party. I just kept thinking, what am I going to do?  How am I ever going to get back from this? How am I ever going to get back from this?”
