Susan Peters Mentions One Of The Major Reasons Her Marriage Packed Up
Multiple award-winning Nigerian actress cum entrepreneur, Susan Peters whose marriage collapsed earlier in 2022 has opened up on one of the major reasons.
According to the 42-year-old mum, her ex mother-in-law never liked her because of her skin colour.
The Benue State born actress made this known while reacting to the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry’s statement about how his royal family treated his wife, Meghan Markle because of her skin colour.
In two interviews with British and US networks ITV and CBS, Harry spoke of the death of his mother, the former Princess of Wales; his disdain for the British press; his anger over the mistreatment of his wife, Duchess of Sussex, and the subsequent fallout with his family since their marriage.
Reacting to the video of Prince Harry’s statement, Susan wrote on her Instagram page:
“We all go through the same thing , my mother In-law never liked me too. I think the color itself is intimidating, oh well … we never agreed with each other at all,”
In March 2022, the former movie star walked out of her marriage and deleted everything that would remind her of the short-lived romance with her former husband, Dr. Koen Croon.

The mother of one got married to her Dutch lover in a traditional wedding ceremony held in 2015 in Benue State.
The couple later had a civil marriage at Ikoyi Marriage Registry, Lagos State in the presence of some of the bride’s colleagues in the movie industry.
Trouble allegedly began when Susan and her husband had to begin their married life living miles apart from each other. The actress was already pregnant with their first child when it was rumoured that the marriage had collapsed.
However, she lost the pregnancy. Being a very private person, Susan kept her lips sealed and continued to enjoy her marriage. Not long after, the marriage finally hit the rocks.
According to unconfirmed reports, one of the reasons for the breakup was the long distance separating the couple.
The actress was not willing to sacrifice her robust acting career and fully settle down. This forced her husband to indulge in extra marital affairs in her absence. The actress got to know about this and despite the fact that they tried to patch things up, the marriage collapsed.
