‘Living Together, Having Children Without Paying Dowry Is Not A Family’ – Pastor Faith Oyedepo Explains
The wife of the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church World Wide aka Winners Chapel International, Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo has taken to social media to address cohabiting couples.
Taking to her Facebook page, the revered clergywoman who has been married for over four decades stated that marriage is the basis for the family adding that living together as a couple and having children without the man paying the woman’s dowry is wrong.
According to the soft-spoken grand-mum, people who want to enjoy a successful family must first be married.
The 64-year-old mother of four wrote;
“Some couples have been living together for years and have even had children together without a proper marriage: no dowry has been paid, nor have they had any form of a formal engagement, this is not right. Marriage is the basis for the family; if you must enjoy a successful family, then you must first be married.”
