‘…But I Couldn’t Fix Mine’ – Gospel Singer, Dare Melody Speaks On Wife’s Painful Death 

Famous Nigerian gospel singer, Dare Melody has spoken out on the painful demise of his wife, Adedoyin Odunuga nee Odagi.

In October, 2024, it was gathered that the gospel singer had lost his wife. The sad news was made on the singer’s Instagram page, where it was revealed that his wife died in the early morning of Thursday, 24th of October 2024.

During a wake keep in her honour, Dare Melody shared a heartfelt message, reflecting on their relationship and personal struggles.

In a moving tribute, Dare Melody opened up about the depth of his grief and the irreplaceable presence Adedoyin held in his life. Speaking to family, friends, and fans, the singer reflected on the strength, sincerity, and unwavering support that defined their relationship.

Dare fondly remembered conversations with his wife, where he asked her to accept his flaws and all as a musician and human being.

He stated that he tries so hard not to use what he is today not to destroy his future as he noted how he used to tell his late wife that whatever she hears of him, he is a musician and he is human; as such, she should accept him as he is.

He praised the deceased for being a truthful and honest wife just like he is. According to him, he doesn’t know how to lie.

His voice filled with sorrow, the widower noted how he used to mend people’s homes, but when the storm came, he couldn’t fix his own home.

The singer explained how he had often felt like a pillar for others, mending fractured relationships and offering comfort to friends and family. But as he faced his greatest trial yet, he realized the cruel irony of being unable to prevent the storm from tearing apart his own home.
