Nigerian Teacher Who Married At Age 40 Shares His Regrets Marrying Late

Nigerian teacher identified as Abiola Ajibolaoye has shared a deep reflection on his marital journey.
In a video posted on TikTok by @Yomilistens, Mr Ajibolaoye shared his biggest regret in life, revealing that he wishes he had gotten married earlier.
Abiola expressed his frustration over the consequences of marrying late, stating that some mistakes are easier to correct when made early in life, but once a person is older, reversing such decisions becomes difficult.
According to him, he tied the knot at the age of 40, a decision he now considers a major mistake, adding that he and his wife were unable to have children, which he attributes to certain missteps in their marriage.
“If I could go back in time, I would have married early because I married late. That is one wrong decision I took in life,”
he admitted.
While he remains content with his professional life, he emphasized that timing is crucial in personal decisions.
“You can marry and make mistakes. When you make your mistakes early, you can correct them in time and move on with life. But you can’t beat time because it is not our friend. There are things I’m doing now that I should have done years ago,”
he added.
