Actress Lizzy Jay Delivers Empowering Message To Slim Women As She Silences Her Body Shamer

Nollywood actress and comedian Adeyela Adebola, widely recognized as Lizzy Jay, has delivered a powerful message to slender women, urging them to resist societal pressures and body-shaming.

In a post on her Instagram account, the comedic film star highlighted the growing trend of individuals resorting to weight-loss medications like Monjaro and Ozempic, along with various slimming concoctions, in pursuit of a slimmer appearance.

Speaking to women who frequently face labels such as “dry” or “too slim,” Lizzy Jay urged them to accept their natural body shape and stand firm against any form of harassment.

“Dear Slim women, or ‘Dry’ or whatever the society chooses to call you, have you seen the rate at which people use Monjaro (or is it Kilimanjaro, you people call it) and Ozempic to get slim?

Have you seen the rate at which people drink all sorts of mixtures to get slim? Don’t let anybody pressure you o, most importantly, don’t let anybody bully you, oloriburuku ni opolopo ninu won,”

she wrote.

The actress’ empowering words came after an Instagram user trolled her for her body size. The troll had left a comment on Lizzy’s page, calling her ‘Dry’ after sharing a photo of hers.

Displeased by the comment, the actress took to her page to blast the troll. She wrote:

“If you want to come to my page and be a troll, at least come correct. Don’t come to my page looking like a rejected sacrifice and think you can troll me @jaiyeadewunmi.

Anti, your mates are in the gym, trying to get fit, and you are here with your shapeless body, looking like a dead toad, calling someone else “dry”…
