Husband Of Delta Governor’s Adviser, Shimite Love Breaks Silence On Her Death And Allegations Against Him: I’m Done Keeping Quiet’
Shimite Love’s husband, Pastor David Favour Love, has finally spoken out about her untimely death and allegations against him.
Shimite, 48, the Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Trade and Export, died in the early hours of Monday, April 21, 2025.
Controversy trailed her death, as some reports alleged that she died of domestic violence.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, said the deceased’s family had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the husband might have played a role in Shimite’s death.
The PPRO further disclosed that Shimite’s husband was taken into protective custody after he informed the police that his wife’s family members were allegedly threatening his life.
According to the PPRO, David Love told the police that his wife fell ill and died. In a series of posts on Instagram on Tuesday, May 20, David Love mourned his wife, describing her as his own personal and special Angel.
Pastor Love said he will no longer keep quiet amid the ‘different fabrication’ of his wife’s death. The pastor further alleged that Shimite’s family broke into his house and stole their marriage certificate.
He also claimed that a registrar in Abuja confessed that the deceased’s family had asked her to deny he and Shimite’s marriage.

The registrar in Abuja confessed that they visited her office to ask her to deny our marriage even after breaking into our home and stealing our marriage certificate, your jewelry and other things.
