Fast-rising Singer, Ayo Maff Shares On Why He Moved Out Of His Parents’ House At 16

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele, known professionally as Ayo Maff, has revealed that he moved out of his parents house in the Shomolu area of Lagos at the age of 16.
The fast rising musician stated this while recalling his humble beginnings.
Revealing reasons for his decision, the 19-year-old artiste stated that he left the house because he wanted more for his family.
According to Ayo, life in Shomolu was hard for him and his family and as the first child of the family, he said he needed to go out there to go hustle to make life better for them.
The singer during his latest interview with Hip TV explained,

“As the first child of my family, I left home at 16 because it was not easy in there.
Life in Shomolu is hard, fun and also exciting. Without living in Shomolu I wouldn’t have the experiences of singing about them. I wouldn’t have truly seen reality of life that shaped me.
I looked around and realised that I had to go out and make it for these people (his family). So, I just leave to stay with my friend for one year and a few months.
My mum was concerned when I was leaving, but I assured her that I would be coming to check on them.”

The star boy gained recognition following the release of his hit single ‘Dealer’, featuring Fireboy DML in 2023.
