Toyin Abraham Reflects On Her First Marriage As She Opens Up About Finding True Love With Husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi
Nollywood sweetheart, Toyin Abraham has reflected on her past and present relationships, shedding light on why her first marriage to actor Adeniyi Johnson fell apart and how she later found fulfillment with her current husband, actor Kolawole Ajeyemi.
In a recent interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the star actress revealed that her family had strong reservations about her first marriage.
Despite warnings and concerns from loved ones, she chose to go ahead with the union, which eventually lasted for about two years. She shared:
“My family actually prayed and got signs that it wouldn’t work but I didn’t listen. I went ahead.”
However, the actress spoke warmly about her current marriage to Ajeyemi, describing it as a relationship grounded in love, mutual respect, and spiritual connection. She said:

“In real life, he is very calm. He is a prayer warrior. Whenever I go to Abeokuta, he is always there.”
Toyin who shares a son with Ajeyemi said their bond grew gradually as they spent more time together on set and began supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.
Over time, their bond deepened, and they chose to keep the relationship private until it naturally evolved into something more serious. She explained further:
“I didn’t want anyone to know at first, but I started getting fond of him. I’d tag along when he was going to work. Then we introduced ourselves to our families, I got pregnant, and marriage followed.”
Toyin said she is grateful for the peace and joy she has found in her marriage. She continued:
“I come from a Christian home, so my family prayed and God confirmed he was the one. Trust me, I married one of the best. I won’t say the best because there are other marriages I admire, like my godmother’s, but my husband is definitely one of the best.”
