Tuface Idibia Sparks Controversy Over His Bold Statement About Male Sexuality, Infidelity And Marriage

In a recent episode on media personality Nedu’s podcast, the 49-year-old music icon argued that men are not biologically wired to be sexually committed to one woman, even if they genuinely love her.

He stated that a man can love a woman, but it’s impossible for him to sexually be with only one woman.

According to him, male sexual desires often override emotional attachments, making monogamy difficult for men. In his words:

“A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can love one woman, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with one woman only. It’s the biology of man.”

Tuface also described his time with his former wife, Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay, as a period of “bondage,” and advised men to prioritize their personal happiness regardless of public opinion.

His statements have sparked intense backlash on social media, with many accusing the music star of promoting infidelity and disrespecting the institution of marriage.

He said a man can love a woman and still cheat on her because of his sexual cravings. The singer added that at such a moment, he wouldn’t think about the woman he loves but about how to unload himself.

Reacting to his statement, actress Anita Joseph questioned if 2baba was indirectly telling Annie he wouldn’t stop cheating on her.

Defending him, Daddy Freeze stated that monogamy isn’t a woman’s entitlement, as it isn’t normal for African men to have one wife.

He cited biblical examples of men who cheated on their spouses, as he added that feminism and political correctness are what are killing us in Africa as we try to normalise Western Values.

During his marriage to Annie, 2baba was embroiled in several cheating scandals.

In 2022, during their vow renewal on their 10th wedding anniversary, Annie had demanded an exceptional obligation from 2baba. Annie pleaded with her husband to stay faithful to her for the next ten years and wanted him to keep to it.
