Tuface Idibia Speaks On His Decision To End Marriage To Annie Macaulay

Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface, has spoken about his decision to end his marriage to wife, Annie Macaulay after being together for over a decade.
In a recent interview on the 234 Mzansi Podcast hosted by media personality, Nedu, 2Face shared that he and Annie had given their best efforts to save the marriage, but ultimately decided to part ways.
The father of seven further said that why they aren’t together isn’t something he wants to discuss publicly.
While declining to discuss the specific reason for their separation publicly, he described Annie as an amazing woman. He emphasised that no one should feel pressured to stay in an unhappy union.
The music legend also noted that individuals should not allow societal expectations to dictate their feelings, stating that forcing a relationship that is not working can lead to unnecessary suffering.
He said:
“I think both of us gave it our best. And why we’re not together today is not something I’m going to talk about publicly.
“Me and her have our own understanding. She’s amazing, it just wasn’t working no more. Something wey una get before wey no dey again, that’s why I said I won’t talk about it here.
“I think you should try to fix your marriage but if it’s beyond that, I don’t think anybody should force anything. Only people in the marriage know exactly what they’re feeling.
“It’s always good not to torture yourself, and not to allow society or people to dictate your feelings.”
2baba who has moved on to engage another woman, Honorable Natasha Osawaru, also spoke on his views about marriage.
The legendary singer, while reflecting on the realities of broken relationships and unhappy unions, cautions against letting society or public opinion dictate personal happiness.
He continued:
“This thing they call living in bondage is real. Many people have lived their lives and gone to their grave very sadly. Without achieving their potential. Why? Because of the sadness and the heavy heart they carry.
If it’s glaring that things aren’t working, nobody should force themselves. Sometimes, it’s not even about constant fighting. It’s just that you’re not happy with each other. That’s a big problem.”
The entertainer didn’t fail to give a special shout-out to his woman, Natasha, describing her as amazing. 2baba, however, made it known that his children are his major concern.
Recall that in February, 2baba had announced his separation from wife of over a decade, Annie, via his Instagram page. He revealed that the power couple have been separated for a while.
The singer has since moved on from Annie and is now engaged to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
Tuface revealed that he loves Natasha, and made it known that she had nothing to do with the breakdown of his marriage to Annie and claimed that he and Annie have an understanding.
While addressing those against his relationship with Natasha, 2face revealed that he and his ex-wife, have long been over, noting how people are judging him because he chose peace of mind and true love.
To prove his commitment to her, he introduced his soon-to-be wife to the Idoma traditional leaders/king in Benue, where he comes from. The couple got blessings from the palace to the community.
The singer also took her to meet his mother and family members. The famous singer shared photos and videos of himself, his fiancée, and his mother.
