Stand-up comedian, Ayo Makun has come out to defend Tuface Idibia following his public apology video to his new wife, Natasha Osawaru.

The music icon had in a recent episode on Nedu’s podcast, said that a man isn’t built to be sexually active with one woman. He stated that a man can love a woman, but it’s impossible for him to sexually be with only one woman.

Making a U-turn, Tuface, in a video on his Instagram page, admitted that he fucked up. He tendered an apology to his wife Natasha, whom he described as the love of his life, fans and his kids.

The father of six added that he is deeply sorry, and that’s not who he is.

Taking to his social media pages to react to the apology, the comic actor noted how it is easy to cast the first stone at the supposed offender. The single father of two further noted that no one is questioning if the singer is okay, as many don’t really care.

According to the entertainer, watching the apology video, he saw a man (Tuface) under duress taking accountability for his actions, not because he’s perfect, but because he’s human.

He pointed out how, as men, they’re raised to suffer in silence, whether they’re right or wrong. The comedian added that when men speak, it rarely ends well, as society blames, misunderstands, and dismisses them.

He further stated that their vulnerability doesn’t protect them as men but exposes them.

“It’s always easy to cast the first stone at the supposed offender. No one pauses to ask him the most human question: “Are you okay?”

And when they do, it’s rarely without an agenda. No one really cares. I just saw a man under duress taking accountability for his actions. Not because he’s perfect, but because he’s human.

As men, we’re raised to suffer in silence. Whether right or wrong, we’re told to “man up.”

Even when we finally speak, it rarely ends well. We’re blamed. Misunderstood. Dismissed.

Our vulnerability doesn’t protect us. It exposes us. Na who them catch na him be thief.

The things that truly matter in society often go unnoticed. I believe the government should start awarding entertainers with special bonuses for consistently helping to shift Nigerians’ focus away from issues that don’t contribute to their growth. Make una continue to pay attention to people wey don personally hustle to settle themselves. Dey play!”.
