Doctor Raises Alarm Over Growing Trend In Nigerian Universities: ‘Young Ladies Are Now Selling Their Eggs’
A Nigerian doctor has raised serious alarm over what he calls a silent pandemic — the alleged increasing number of young female students donating their eggs for money.
Dr. Penking on X claims many of these ladies, especially in universities, are rushing to fertility centres and exchanging their eggs for small cash — all because of the harsh economic situation in the country. In his words,
“There is a current pandemic of egg donation among young ladies in Nigerian universities.”
The tweet was accompanied by a photo showing a gloved hand holding a test tube filled with what appears to be a freshly retrieved egg sample.

According to him, nobody is talking about it. He then called out fertility centres in Nigeria. He continued:
“No one is talking about it. Our young ladies are selling their future children for peanuts due to harsh economic situations and everyone is silent. Fertility centres in Nigeria…”
