Daddy Freeze Finally Speaks On What Led To The Crash Of His Marriage To Ex-wife, Opeyemi
Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze has opened up about his failed marriage to his ex-wife, Opeyemi.
In an interview with media person, Chude Jideonwo, Freeze reflected on the circumstances surrounding his early marriage and subsequent divorce.
The father of three revealed that he got married at the age of 24, while his ex was 22. He claimed he only married Opeyemi because she was pregnant for him and wouldnât have married her if she werenât carrying his child.
According to him, he and Opeyemi were too young and immature to get married but went through with it because of the pregnancy. In his words:
âWe had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, Iâm not sure we would have gotten married. So pregnancy was one of the factors that influenced the marriage.â

The controversial media person recalled how he and his ex werenât sleeping in the same room at some point in their marriage, and were only going to church together.
The former OAP spoke about the several appearances he made in his marriage and how he hadnât seen his kids in almost ten years.
The
further disclosed that the marriage has been over for nearly a decade but claimed his ex-wife has denied him access to their children.
He also recalled being asked to sit at the back of the church after his messy divorce. Freeze admitted that the marriage broke him as it was two damaged people in a union, and when it ended, it cost him jobs, kept him from his children, and left him so broken that even the few jobs he got, he couldnât execute them well.
âMy ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is marriage no work, can I see or talk to my kids on the phone? Theyâre out of the country. I traced them but I donât want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, a DM on social media will do,â
Freeze added.

Regarding his current marriage, Freeze said he has never raised his hand to his wife, even though he sometimes shouts.
Freeze remembered being so broke that he couldnât even afford ten thousand naira to buy a cake for his daughterâs birthday. He said his children see him as the devil, just as half of the world sees him as the devil.
