‘It Only Hurts Women And Children’ – Nigerian Rapper Erigga Candidly Opens Up About Growing Up In A Polygamous Home

Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known by his stage name Erigga has shared his honest thoughts about polygamy, citing the harm it can cause to women and children.

Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the singer revealed that his opinion comes from personal experience, having grown up in a polygamous family.

Drawing from personal experience, he noted that such arrangements often lead to conflict and hurt feelings, with women and kids typically bearing the brunt.

In his word:

“I am trying not to be like my father. I don’t like polygamy; one person gets hurt, which is the woman. There’s never a polygamous situation where the man gets hurt; it’s always the woman and the kids.”
