Doctor In Trouble For Taking A Selfie While Examining A Pregnant Woman
A doctor who posed for a picture while taking care of a pregnant woman is in a lot of trouble after the image went viral leading to complaints from people.
According to the Mirror, this picture of a doctor caring for a pregnant woman while flicking a ‘v for victory’ sign at the camera has gone viral – and landed the medic in hot water. In the shocking image, the doc has one hand on the woman’s private parts while the other gives the two-fingered symbol.
Although the medic didn’t take the picture herself the image has been slammed as another example of inappropriate selfies from the medical profession. Previous instances have mostly involved nursing staff and people in lesser roles. This is believed to be the first case that a doctor has faced an enquiry for a similar breach of medical ethics.
Initially it was unknown who the doctor was but now she has been identified as a female doctor working at the Johor Bahru hospital, which is in the state of Johor, in Malaysia.
The country’s health minister Dr Seri Subra promised swift action to punish the doctor for the breach of medical ethics but said that they were waiting for an investigation by the medical ethics panel before deciding whether she should be sacked or fined.
Although censored, the patient’s private parts are clearly visible in the photo, which a short while later went viral. The photo was taken only recently and investigators also want to know who the unknown photographer was.
That’s gross and height of irresponsibility. She should be punish. What rubbish? There is time for everything.
