REVEALED! When the Honey Period Ends, Hillary Duff Splits From Hubby
I think it’s safe to say that the entire world let out a collective gasp after news hit that Hillary Duff and husband Mike Comrie last week. The 26-year-old actress’ rep told the media that the split was amicable and that they’ll “remain best friends” as they co-parent their son Luca, who is now 21 months. Well now, a source tells Us Weekly that the reason Hillary and Mike Split Up is because “she felt he didn’t put enough effort into the relationship,” even after they tried counseling for 18 months
Hilary no doubt loved Mike with everything she had, and if the duo really did go through counseling — they both wanted to make things work. But at the end of the day, what really matters is how you feel in the relationship. It seems like Mike just couldn’t make Hilary happy anymore.
Hilary and Mike are a prime example of what happens in many relationships as time goes on. It’s not always as easy breezy as the honeymoon phase. People say that the spark goes away with time, but it doesn’t have to if you and your partner are willing to put work into the relationship. Granted, the relationship also develops and matures (especially after having a child) and priorities change — but that’s why it becomes more and more important to communicate with one another about your needs and desires as time goes on.
Yet still, In Hollywood, four years isn’t anything to laugh at necessarily. It’s most certainly a whole lot better than Kim Kardashian’s 72-day affair. But still, it’s never fun seeing two A-listers go their separate ways.
