Bride drags her one-month-old baby on the train of wedding dress to the alter

In an effort to incorporate her daughter into the wedding, one bride from Tennesee dragged her daughter on the train of her wedding dress down the aisle.

The Metro UK reports;

Shona Carter-Brooks, from Jackson, Tennesee, strapped her one-month-old baby daughter to the train of her wedding dress and dragged her down the aisle. As you do.

Carter-Brooks defended her decision to literally drag her one-month-old daughter, called Aubrey, down the aisle after being criticised online, with some saying she should be reported to child protection services.

Shona, who married Johnathan Brooks last month, hit back at critics in Facebook posts, saying: ‘Our one month old was awake and well secured on my train. Most important while y’all got ya feelings we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!!’

It was certainly an unusual added touch to her traditional wedding dress, which Shona claimed was by Vera Wang (although the label has said it is not one of their dresses).

While guests at the wedding were apparently ‘surprised’ to see the baby attached to the bride’s train, some were moved to tears by the sight.

Friend Pamela Stone posted on the couple’s Facebook page: ‘Shona and Johnathan Brooks your wedding was super perfect, from the groom and his men and you and your diva’s baby you rock the gown and the princess tagging behind you it brought tears to my eyes.’

But observers were less enthused with the bride’s odd act, which was described online as both ‘classless’ and ‘extremely dangerous’.

Erm, call us old fashioned, but maybe you could just try carrying her next time?
