It’s Official! Amal Alamuddin Takes George Clooney’s Last Name
Following her marriage to George Clooney in September, 36-year-old human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddin has officially changed her name to Amal Clooney on her law firm’s website. After the switch was made, the website reportedly seemed to have crashed from the amount of people looking at it!

She’s officially Mrs. Clooney! Amal Alamuddin has changed her name to Amal Clooney on the website of her London-based law firm, Doughty Street Chambers.
The human rights lawyer wed George Clooney in Venice, Italy, over a weekend of festivities in late September. After celebrating their final night as singles with separate bachelor and bachelorette dinners on Friday, Sept. 26, the couple said their unofficial “I dos” on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Venice’s seven-star Aman Canal Grande hotel in front of guests like Anna Wintour, Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Bill Murray.
Following the lavish nuptials, Amal, 36, and Clooney, 53, were officially married in a civil ceremony at Venice’s Palazzo Ca’ Loredan.
The newlyweds then opted for a staycation honeymoon in their newly purchased English home.
