Toddler Left Alone For Almost A Week After Grandmother Caring For Her Dies

A toddler who was left in the care of her Grandmother has survived without food, water or any sort of care almost a week after her Granny died.

According to the Mirror, Brier Rose Ineichen, aged 15 months, was found severely dehydrated in her cot after police went to check on her welfare. The tot’s mum, Tracy Ineichen – who is in prison – had not heard from her mother, Annette Ineichen, since November 7.

The 28-year-old asked her boyfriend, Anthony Waldo, to check on the pair after being unable to reach her mum on the phone. Waldo went to the house, in Maryville, Tennessee, around 1.30pm on Saturday and found the porch door locked but an inside door open. Through the window, he saw the baby in her cot with her arms outstretched, crying, according to a police report.

Police arrived and forced their way into the bathroom where they found 58-year-old Annette Ineichen dead. Annette Ineichen’s cause of death is not yet know, but it is believed to have been connected to a medical condition, the Daily Times reported.
