Mum of Four Who Blamed Headaches on Stress of Raising Her Kids Gets the Most Shocking Diagnosis
A mum who believed her headaches were caused by the stress of looking after her four kids was shocked to find out she had a brain tumour. Emily Corrigan, 28, was rushed to the hospital last summer after she collapsed in bed and was found by partner Stewart Wilson, 39.
Surgeons had to cut away part of her skull to remove the tumour and the following operation left her with a shocking scar on her scalp.
Emily said:
“Whenever I got a headache or felt tired I just put it down to looking after my kids, I was stressed and never thought anything more of it. I’d always been healthy and active so to just deteriorate in one day was terrifying – I went to be that night and then woke up a day later in intensive care. It was only as I was recovering from the surgery, that I realised how little funding and coverage is geared towards brain tumours.
I decided to do the post to grab people’s attention, a picture speaks a thousand words…and I just hope it can help to make a difference.”
Wow….thank God she wen to the hospital on time, early diagnosis will help. Wish her speed recovery.
