Mum’s Outrage As 7-Year-Old Son is Handcuffed at Elementary School

A mum, Sande Bard-Butler, took to her Facebook page to express her rage after her 7-year-old son, Allen, who has autism and a traumatic brain injury, was handcuffed by a school resource officer at his Elementary School in Florida. He subsequently tried to get him admitted at a mental health hospital.
His mum told 10News WTSP, “Allen can get triggered and upset and be very aggressive, but if you handle it in the right way, it can be de-escalated very quickly. They put him on his stomach on the floor and put handcuffs behind his back. I’m frustrated, and angry, very angry.”
Read her Facebook post below…
She has reportedly hired an attorney and plans to sue.
What would you do if this was done to your son?
Sue the school
This is so wrong, how bad was the kicking that he has to be handcuffed? The school authority and the officer that handcuffed a 7 year old should be questioned.
I will take my child away & sue them, They cannot care for children, if they have already taken 4 kid to the facility in one day
I will feel very sad bcos they didn’t follow up his problem in an appropriate manner
I will feel too humiliated biko
Will feel very ashamed
I no go happy o.
this is crazy……..
Oh my
I will sue too. What nonsense? Mtscheeeeeeewwww.
Withdraw my child and sue the school for compensation
She has every right to sue them. That officer did wrong.
That too bad
Will definitely sue them. What rubbish
i would sue dem
The school.will pay for it and remove your child from the school in the mean time
I will sue also nd withdraw my child from the school.
Hmmmm, I won’t train my child to be stubborn in the first place. That s so irresponsible of the mum. All these oyibo spoilt rotten children with poor home training. Why should a child kick his teacher, that’s very rude. Serves him right, it’s part of the training his parents couldn’t offer. Rubbish
This is really so wrong
Sue their sorry Ass & total withdraw of my child from that school
