20 Years Of Successful Marriage As Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde Spills Secrets

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde and hubby, Matthew Ekehinde recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

The beautiful mother-of-four recently pointed out key things that has helped her maintain a successful marriage, during a chat with Kemi Asefon on “The Love Haven” .

According to Omotola, staying close to your partner and never allowing third parties in your marriage as well as paying your tithe and trusting each other are the key things needed to making the marriage work.

Stay Close To Each Other

“If couples want to be successfully married, they have to take time to be close to each other that every other thing does not matter. There should never be third parties in your marriage. It is like a wall. The minute it’s cracked and lizards start coming in, it will be hard to find those lizards and throw them out and they will start creeping into your family. Try and always sort out issues between you.”

2. Pay your Tithe

“Pay your tithe individually. It’s a covering. This is our secret. When you don’t pay your tithe, you have not committed yourself and your home will not be put together. It is your foundation. But when you pay your tithe, God helps you take away every devourer. When that is taken care of and you are God-fearing, as darts are coming from every angle, you are already fortified. If you trust each other, tell each other the truth if one person errs.”

Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde married her husband when she was only eighteen and welcomed her first daughter, Princess, a year later.
