Heartbreaking: Son Shares Moment His Parents on Life Support Say Goodbye to Each Other

A 21-year-old son has shared touching photos of his parents holding hands and saying their final goodbye as they battled for lives.

According to Mirror, Chris Minnini, shared the photo of his loveydovey parents Jim Minnini and Cindy Ireland on life support after his father declared he wanted to be with his wife in his final moments.

The devoted couple were placed in separate rooms when they were rushed to hospital, but Jim was “adamant” he wanted to be with his wife of 23 years.

The heartbreaking moment was captured by Chris’s brother in Kingston General Hospital in Ontario, Canada, few hours before their dad, Jim, lost his battle with lung cancer last weekend.

Chris mum is now back home and recovering after suffering a heart attack.

Chris said: “I know that if my dad wanted to be remembered at all, it would’ve been for loving my mum.

“My mum was sedated in that picture, which is why we had to wait to do the service for my dad until yesterday because she never got to properly say goodbye.

“The first question she asked when she woke up was ‘where’s dad?’ – she knew instantly.’

Chris added that it was the first time two patients on life support had been allowed to be brought together in the same room.

In addition, he said he doesn’t regret posting the photo on Reddit, claiming: “My friends said to me that you see your parents but we see true love, so even if nobody saw it, it wouldn’t have mattered to me.”
