Shocking! Rattlesnake Bites Groom During Wedding Photo Shoot

The wedding photo shoot of a Colorado couple, identified as Johnny and Laura Benson, was interrupted in the most unimaginable way when a rattlesnake bit the groom on his ankle.

According to Huffington Post, the couple had decided to take advantage of the break between the official wedding ceremony which held at a Catholic church in Colorado, USA and the wedding reception for a photo shoot. They had then headed out to Horsetooth Reservoir, near Fortcollins, for the shoot.

“I felt this bump against my leg and, and I wasn’t sure I got bit or not. But I felt it. I looked down, and there it was, rattling,” the groom told Huffington Post.

He had initially shrugged it off as nothing, but when his bride asked him to check his ankle, he realised that there were bite marks there.

“Still, the only thing I could think of is we’re going to miss our big expensive party,” he continued.

Fortunately, he wasn’t showing serious symptoms of a rattle snake bite and when the paramedics arrived to take him to the emergency room, it was confirmed that the bite on his ankle was dry and that no venom had been injected into him.

The couple finally made it to their wedding reception and were received by family and friends who were happy to see them. The bride, Laura, had remained calm through it all and had called guests to inform them of the incident.

“It was extremely emotional. When we came up, everyone was jumping up and down, and cheering and crying. My new father-in-law came up and grabbed me. It was wonderful,” the groom said.
