Shocking! Woman Set Ablaze While Using Mobile Phone at Petrol Station
Today, June 28, 2016, in Setapak Indah, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, an unnamed young woman caught fire as she was using her mobile phone while putting fuel in her car at a petrol station.
The 25-year-old woman reportedly ended up sustaining burns on 60% of her body at the petrol station, according to NST.com.
Immediately after the sad incident, firemen were alerted at 1:25pm and deployed five personnel from the Wangsa Maju Fire and Rescue Department.
For public knowledge, numerous signs are usually posted at petrol stations warning customers against using their phone there, especially when filling up petrol as it could trigger a fire.
These signs, however, are often ignored by many.
Narrating what could have caused the fire, Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Samsol Maarif Saibani said: “A spark ignited from the pump and triggered a reaction with her handphone.”

This is serious
Nigerians are the most careless when it comes to this issue I always talk to people when I see them using their phones at fuel stations and then caution bus drivers to turn their engine off when buying fuel. I wish her speedy recovery.
Those who have ears let them hear
Ohh… eiyaa… true, many take such signs for granted,… This serves as a good reminder. Hope she makes it through.
Lord have mercy
Lord, this is an act of carelessness.
Sad! may her soul RIP
