Yeni Kuti Remembers Late Dad, Fela Kuti, Who Passed On 19 Years Ago

The love between a father and his child is one that cannot be severed even in death as the daughter of Afro-beat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, continues to miss him several years after his death.

Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti, the first daughter of late legend, who died on the 2nd of August, 1997, took to her Instagram page to pen a heartwarming message in remembrance. See below.

“Nineteen years ago our Icon father, leader and father of the Nation left the world stage.

He lives in us forever and continues to guide and protect us…
