Sexcapades Of Married Lecturer In A Hotel Room With A Student Goes Viral
Images showing embattled lecturer at the Department of Languages and Linguistics of the Osun State University, Ikire Campus, Dr. Olabode Ojoniyi, have gone viral.
Dr. Ojoniyi was exposed by a 400 level English student of the institution, Mercy Ikwue after she released a video tape of his alleged sexcapades with her.
According to Punch, the student, who released the over 30-minute video clip, recorded it in a hotel room.
Narrating what led to the video, some students of the university claimed that Ojoniyi was instrumental to the suspension of the female student, after she was allegedly caught for examination malpractices.
On her return to the university after the one academic session rustication, the petition claimed the lecturer mounted pressure on the student for an amorous affair but the lady resisted him.
It was further learnt that the lady confided in some persons, who advised her to set a trap for Ojoniyi by agreeing to his love advances. She eventually went to the agreed hotel room and met him.
In the video, the female student set up a laptop directly opposite the bed and pretended to be watching the ‘Things Fall Apart’ film on it but she was recording the sexual activity.
Ojoniyi, when asked if he was aware of the video, he said he had heard of it. “I also heard of the video. It is being investigated.”
Asked if he believed that the video was a handiwork of those who might want to bring him down, he said, “People can do anything, but I cannot be brought down.”
After a few days, Ojoniyi sent a text message to Punch in Osogbo in response to the earlier story published by the media house describing the video as a lie but did not say the man in the video was not him or that the tape was manipulated.
He was also silent on who might be behind the scandalous video clip.
The text message read, “Congratulations, Femi Makinde. When you know the truth, it will either set you free or imprison your conscience …..And very soon, you will know the truth. I have just read your lies.”
A recent report has also been released about the embattled lecturer accusing one of the lecturers of the university, who was recently dismissed for an alleged misconduct, as the person who allegedly contracted the 400 level female student to blackmail him.
It was gathered from some students of the university that Ojoniyi, on Friday, posted an open letter on the platform of the Great Linguistics Whatsapp Group, where he accused the female lecturer and the Provost, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, as the architects of his problem.
However, one of the lecturers accused by Ojoniyi in the letter, Prof. Alebiosu, when contacted on the telephone said Ojoniyi was making spurious allegations to exonerate himself.
Alebiosu, who was the chairman of the Staff Disciplinary Panel set up by the university to investigate allegations of unlawful adjusting of students marks by some lecturers said: “Prof Ogen, who is now the chief executive of the Adeyemi College of Education came to testify and showed the video that has unfortunately gone viral as a testimony against Ojoniyi.
“My panel was investigating allegation of mark adjustment and we reported the new evidence to the management and advised him to go and make peace with those in his department. He confirmed he was the one in the video.”
