Nollywood Producer, Chioma Okoye Who Made A Movie of A Woman’s True Life Story Tells How She Was Attacked and Assaulted By Same Woman

A few days ago, fast rising Nollywood producer, Chioma Okoye revealed how she was allegedly beaten, detained unlawfully and threatened  over the story line of her new drama series called “Lagos Men”. She was physically abused after her home was invaded by thugs allegedly sent by the woman, Mrs Oge Ukazia, on whom the series was based.

According to reports from her lawyer, the series is based on a true life story of a man who was constantly having sexual intercourse with his step daughter. It also focuses on men, marital vows, secrets, scandals and more.

To Chioma, the aim of telling the story of the woman, was to help give her a voice and also to show what happens in the society with the hope of changing it.

According to reports, the services of the Police Inspector in Ajah Police Division were also employed to force the producer to take down the series and stop further viewing. She was also offered #3,000,000 to shut down the movie.

During a chat with IYODATVMiss Okoye, said the woman in question who is known as Mrs Oge Ukazia ran to her alongside a mutual friend (of blessed memory) and pleaded with her to help tell her story to the world through a movie because her marriage was a living hell as her husband would not stop having sex with her daughter despite all her pleas and prayers.

She agreed to do it but due to technical reasons, it took about 3 years for the movie to be produced and aired online.

In addition, she stated that she was shocked when some women barged into her house, destroyed some of her properties and ganged up to beat her thereby sustaining some body injuries in the process and had to seek medical attention.
As at the time of this interview, Chioma is seen to be recovering from the bruises and trauma this attack has caused her and has contacted her lawyer to take legal actions against Mrs Ukazie.
She has since been receiving threatening phone calls from the woman and has left the comfort of her home so as to avoid another violent attack.
According to Chioma’s lawyer,

“It must be clearly established that the film did not contravene any known law, statute, rules of motion pictures, injurious to reputation, slanderous or libelous.

”Rather it’s a story created to bring to life people’s rough tides, calculated at superb imagination engagement and to promote good societal values. We have taken steps to protect our client and we shall further seek redress in the court of law on her behalf.

”They should not conceive that the stupid chance they had on our client that faithful morning, their intimidation, coercion, and threat might deprive her of her rights and all this success, newly appreciated and newly illumined by her fans and the general public.”

  • After helping her, she brought thugs to beat you up in your own house. She is no different than any terrorist. Lucky you are alive to tell your story hmmmmmmmm

  • Kai Nigerian women smh. We need liberation from this our slave mentality. After helping you tell your story, you decide to attack her? I am sure the said woman has settled with the beast of a husband that’s why she’s doing all these now. Nigerian women will rather die a Mrs.

  • It’s clear she is a slave in her home. A woman who resorts to begging her husband not to sleep with her daughter rather than report him to the authorities has a serious problem
