9-Months Pregnant Professional Dancer Gets Slammed After Twerking On Social Media

A nine-month pregnant professional dancer who performed a twerking dance routine just weeks before her due date has been heavily criticised on social media.

Elena Yatkina, 25, from Novosibirsk, Russia, runs one of the most popular YouTube channels in her country.

Now some of her fans have turned on her over her latest dance video performed while she was nine months pregnant.

During the performance, Elena pulls off a series of deep squats, high kicks and vigorous twerking alongside her troupe of dancers.

But the video has provoked an angry backlash from fans who say she should be taking better care of her unborn baby.

One social media user called Yousef said: “Are you aware of the fact that your behaviour can affect the baby in the future?”

But Elena insisted the dancing was good for both the baby and her. She added: ‘Dancing was a lot easier than walking. I began dancing when I was ten years old. For about seven years I was going to Todes dancing studio, and then began adding various master classes to improve my skills, including the foreign master classes. Then I began teaching myself and in 2010 I opened my own school.’
