“I am proud to be in the kitchen and even the other room,” Senator Binta Garba Says
On Wednesday at the Senate’s plenary, the senator representing Adamawa North, Binta Masi Garba, who is the chairman, Senate committee on women affairs, said her primary role, even before joining the senate, is in ”the kitchen and other room.”
Previously, the deputy whip of the Senate, Senator Biodun Olujimi, representing Ekiti South, had said while contributing to the debate on the release of 21 Chibok schoolgirls:
”As we (women) stand, not only in the kitchen, but in the Senate and also, in every important place, we believe that the men will support us to achieve our goals that our girls remain girls and are also able to aspire to be whatever they want to be in Nigeria.”
Apparently in response to what her colleague said, Senator Binta added:
”My primary constituency is to be in the Kitchen before even being in the senate, as a woman. And I am proud to be in the Kitchen and even the other room.”
This comes after President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement (read here) that his wife, Aisha, belongs to his kitchen, the living room and the other room.
Okay now

Women that belong to the kitchen and the other room have no place in the Senate. She should give me a break
Busy body, eye service
