Recession? A Month Old Baby Abandoned In Warri Hospital By Mum Over N125,000 Medical Bill
Tony Okiemute, a 25-year-old woman has abandoned her one-month-old baby in St. George’s Specialist Clinic and Maternity over her inability to pay for her N125,000, medical bills in Warri, Delta State.
Speaking exclusively to DailyPost, the Administrative Manager of the hospital, Sunny Ebone, explained that the woman delivered a set of twin, a boy and a girl on October 5 through cesarean operation when she was rushed on emergency to the hospital, adding that the woman lost the baby boy while the girl survived.
The hospital manager claimed that the woman abandoned the innocent child while pretending to go and buy pap (Adamu). She reportedly absconded since October 15.
Ebone further revealed that all efforts to trace and track the mother who claimed to be resident of Ekakoto Street in Orhunwhorhun Community in Udu Local Government, were unsuccessful before he decided to take the child to the police station.
However, the Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division, CSP Anieteh Eyoh who declined comments on the matter, has ordered his men to track the parents of the abandoned baby in order to save the child.
