Doting Mother Launches Campaign For her Dead Baby | Her Reason Will Touch You
A heartbroken mother, Stacie Goddard, 22, has launched a campaign to show the world how much she and her husband loved their many who died.
Goddard, lost her son Peter, in July 2016 after he was born at 22 weeks, weighing a tiny 420g. Peter had renal agenesis, meaning kidneys and lungs were unable to develop and he survived for just five minutes after he was induced on July 1.
Daily mail reports that,
Stacie recalled the painful experience saying:
“We gave birth to our beautiful baby boy, Peter Ryan Tiberius Goddard, on July 1 at 3.35am. After I had Peter I spent 16 hours with him as he had a special cooling Moses basket so we were able to take as much time as possible.
We had Peter baptized as a Catholic, had professional photos done by a charity and had many charities donate handmade clothes and a memory box so we could make memories of Peter”
Stacie and her partner Stephen Price, 28, are expecting a little girl in May and the pair want her to see how much her older brother was loved.
Stacie, who created a support page for bereaved parents, wrote a message to her son which has been shared by so many people from all over the world. Over 205 photos have been posted from various countries.
“Peter, Mummy and daddy’s love for you is so big that your memory lives on all around the world.”
Explaining how she came up with such idea, she said:
“I got the idea when I saw people sharing Valentine messages. I did Peter’s message and it took off really quickly on my support group page. In a couple of days there were about 100 photos from people in Hawaii, South Africa and literally all over the world.
‘The messages were so beautiful that they made me cry. The response has been so unbelievable, there are now 205 photos and I have been inboxed with messages so there will be at least 100 more.
To think that my son’s name has been written all over the world by so many people is so beautiful.I really hope it raises awareness for those who have suffered the loss of their baby.”
The couple are now preparing for their new arrival expected on the 10th of May 2017.
“It is so unbelievable that we will be able to show her how her brother’s name has gone across the world and how much he was loved, she said.”
