Yesterday, an incident of kidnap/car theft would have occurred around the Gbagada axis of Lagos State, if not for the timely intervention of a military man. An unidentified woman, according to news sources, was said to have parked her car in order to use the ATM machine, leaving her baby and mother in the car with the engine turned on.
Suddenly, a man jumped into the car and sped off. He was however immediately chased by a uniformed man who witnessed the whole incident. Eye witnesses say the car chase was long and deadly as the car somersaulted a few times, but the grandmother and infant escaped with minor injuries. Reports state that the man has since been handed over to the police.
