Dear MIMsters: My Husband Begrudges my Parents For Doing This

My husband who at any disagreement was always beating me begrudges me. It became too much but his family did not see any wrong doing with him. On this particular day, he locked the door and was hitting me continously. My kind neighbour who knows my parents called them.

My parents rushed down at once and we were both taken to the police station to resolve the issue. When we got to the station, my husband called his parents. And as usual, they were still on his side. According to them, my offence is that my mouth is too much.

We got separated for some months and resolved the issue afterwards and he promised not to hit me again. The problem is since we reunited and I moved back in, I noticed that my husband has stopped respecting my parents. He refused to give my parents gifts in December as we usually do. He does not visit them any longer. As for me, I have forgiven his parents. I call them sometimes and even give them gifts. Since he has been so unforgiven, I have decided to withdraw all my kindness towards his family and to only face my children and family. What do you think?
