Dear MIMsters: Did I Do Anything Wrong Correcting By My Boss Who is Single?

I’m a graduate, but learning fashion designing under a man who is single. My boss is a 34 year-old Christian and very good at what he does. He is not in any relationship and attends Deeper Life.

While I am the free type with an open mind towards everybody. I like him as a boss (no strings attached).

I’m the first single lady apprentice he’s had which made me free with him and we seemed close. They even tell me behind his back that both of us have something in common, but it’s not possible.

4 months after I got to his place, I corrected him about wearing one shirt for 4 days even though he has clothes. After I told him my observation on WhatsApp, he thanked me and said he’d work on it.

I observed that he changed only a little as he still wears a shirt for 2 to 3 days. But I decided not to talk about it again.

Since I also got to his place, I have been able to make some changes there by the grace of God.

I also observed that he’s overly prudent and finds it difficult to spare his money. He’s not a giver and not generous to any of his apprentices. On night duties, he doesn’t feed them, the boys feed themselves.

I don’t like that attitude and I felt it will affect him when he gets married. So, last weekend I didn’t want to tell him one-on-one, I told him on WhatsApp politely. I admonished him and also told him I’m sorry if he’s offended with what I’m saying.

Since Monday, he’s been cold towards me at work. He doesn’t talk to me directly. And I feel it’s because of what I told him. I don’t feel free anymore.

Please what do I do?
