Single Mom, Yvonne Nelson Explains Why She Is In No Rush to Get Married To Her Baby Daddy
In an interview with Ghana’s Joy FM, Ghanaian star, Yvonne Nelson, says she is in no rush tie the knot with her British photographer baby daddy, Jamie Roberts.
According to Yvonne, the reason she is quiet laid back when it comes to marriage is because she doesn’t want to divorce in life, adding that she cannot understand how people spend on their wedding and throw it in the bin subsequently.
The single hot mom also spoke of how people focus more on their wedding more than on their marriage which explains why the union packs up in no time. According to her, one shouldn’t embark on a wedding if one is not prepared for marriage.

”People marry and six months it’s over. I don’t wanna mention names. So all the wedding everything is gone? The cake, limousine, and all done? They can walk away just like that? No marriage has to be like that. If you are not ready, don’t do it…” she said.
Asked if she wants a white wedding in her life, Yvonne answered in the affirmative, saying;
“If it happens, fine. The timing has to be right. I have a baby but I don’t wanna rush into it. A woman can’t marry herself so if it happens yeah…”
“If I feel like I should do it, yes. But now I don’t know maybe. It’s confusing. If I am gonna do it, there is no turning back. I don’t wanna marry and divorce. I wanna marry for the right reasons…” she indicated.
Yvonne Nelson has a daughter with Jamie Roberts named Ryan Roberts. Sources have it that her relationship with him is facing crisis even though the actress has denied such reports.
During an interview with WOW magazine last year (read here), when Yvonne Nelson was asked whether her pregnancy was Planned, she said;
”It was, and the truth of the matter is, it’s been something I’ve been waiting for since I turned 29. On my 30th birthday, I was in Venice, Italy.
I remember the night before my birthday, I called my mum and I was crying. I was so sad, I was seeing someone else then and he was an ideal guy and everything. He took me there for my birthday and he proposed.
He’s somebody I would have loved to have a family with but he wanted me to move to London. My whole life was going to change because of him and it’s not something you should do.

You don’t have to change your whole life because of a man, because of your marriage. I’m sure most people do, so in the long run it didn’t work out.
It’s quite funny because someone proposed and I didn’t get to have a baby for the person, and this person who hasn’t proposed, I’m having a baby for him, so it’s a vibe, it’s friendship, it’s understanding, it’s how the person makes you (feel). It’s not about someone putting a rock on your finger and you forget.”
